Unsolved Murder

This is my very dear friend.  His name is Michael Brian Iverson

He was murdered.

This case was never solved.

In 1994 my friend was shot and killed while walking to his house with a "friend". There has been controversy over this case from day one, with a single witness who suddenly couldn't remember anything about the people who shot his "friend". My ass. Somebody knows something. I believe the 'witness' knows something but for some reason, isn't talking.

It has been 14.5 years since Mike was taken from us and for whatever reason he is just so strong in my mind tonight. I pulled up his photo and tears just fell from my eyes as I looked at that familiar handsome face. Even now, the pain of losing Mike is raw. I miss him. The manner with which we lost him was so brutal and so very unfair.
Mike was very special to me, as he was to so many others.

A lot of people from Vegas read my blog. Please take a very close look at Mike's photo. Read the Cold Case file below, and dear God if you know ANYTHING... no matter how trivial it may seem please call the detectives at the phone number listed. Please.

At approximately 4:30 p.m., on February 27, 1994, Michael Iverson was walking in the area of Arlington St and Wyoming Ave with several friends when they were approached by another group of teenagers. There was an exchange of insults. Two members of the opposing group pulled handguns and fired at Michael. Michael was struck in the chest. He was transported the University Medical Center-Trauma Unit where he was pronounced dead. The friends were not able to identify any of the suspects.

Anyone with information is urged call LV Metro Homicide Cold Case Detail at 702-828-COLD.

that is so sad. We have a murder case is Reno Brianna Denison that is not solved either. These bad people should not be enjoying life. Sorry for your loss.

I'm so sorry this happened to him. I am also sorry that this is cold. Hopefully someday it will be solved. The early nineties were horrible for this kind of violence, and most of the cases turned cold...it sucks!!!!!

Hello, My name is Megan and i am Mike's neice. I was only 2 years old when this happened, and i really wish i would have gotten to know him. He was an amazing person. I've been told so many times that i am so much like him. I really think we would have been so close. I'm glad that he is remembered, he will never be forgotten. I know in my heart that he will always and forever be watching over us.

Megan,

Honey if you come back and read this, I just wanted to say thank you for commenting on this blog post. I can't seem to be able to email you back, so I am posting here.

I remember you. You were a teeny tiny gorgeous little thing back then, and your uncle Mike LOVED you like no other. You were HIS baby girl and he made sure everyone knew it. He spoke so sweetly of you all the time... you were his baby doll. I hope you and your family are doing well, you are all in my thoughts.
