A little bit of Macro Lovin'!

After taking my Quantaray 70-300mm, f/4-5.6 macro lens out yesterday to show Karin the zoom capabilities on it, I got to thinking... "Self," (I call myself - Self). "Self, you really ought to get that lens out more often and work on some macro shooting." So today during naptime (after my dog inadvertently mauled my hand (it was my fault, not his), I put my macro lens onto my camera and headed into the back yard. Man! My yard is VERY interesting and beautiful when you look at it piece by teeny tiny piece! Here are a few of the shots I took today! Thanks for looking...

Bumble Bee

The inside of an Asian Lilly

My pride and joy, this is a new bloom from my Mr. Lincoln rose bush. The blooms on this bush are the most beautiful and fragrant in my yard. I am a tried and true sucker for blood red roses!
(Credit: My husband is the rose gardener extraordinaire, it is only through his meticulous caring for my Mr. Lincoln that she can put forth blooms like this!)

Some upclose shots of my Dahlias

There's that silly ol' Bumble Bee again! Evidently my Salvia's are VERY tasty!
